CANOEING - ARCTIC LAPLAND

Fall on the Arctic Circle is a special time to all of us that live here. I`d like to offer this opportunity to share a unique adventure in this very special place at a special time of year. Its a time of extraordinary tundra & woodland colours, of pre Winter calm, fat berries, succulent trout and wandering reindeer. One can expect warm days and nights with a hint of frosts, sparking campfires and roaring Auroras overhead.

For this expedition, we paddle along a series of huge lakes that stretch out across the Arctic Circle in Sweden, wide open waters connected by narrow channels or short portages and ample gravel beaches for camp sites with endless onshore hiking opportunities into the surrounding tundra hills. A photographers delight, a wildlife spotters dream and a paddling experience second to none.

This year, I will arrange two paddle expeditions each of 7 days duration and each with a maximum of eight paddlers in between mid September & early October (contact me for specific dates)

We use open Canadian canoes, either hard shells or our prefered Ally Canoes (we have used Ally Canoes on expeditions all over Canada & Alaska for many many years…even our dogs love them !) It is also possible to paddle with a kayak if you prefer.

Each expedition is autonomous, camping each night and carrying everything with us from start to finish. All equipment & meals and airport shuttles included. If this unique opportunity to see the very best of Lapland interests you, please contact me for all the further info you need !
